Funeral services for Christopher P. Murphy, retired New York Central Railroad engineer, was conducted at Herbert W. Reilly Funeral Home, and at St. Clare's Church. Burial was in St. Agnes Cemetery. Mr. Murphy died at his home, 1730 Central Avenue, Colonie.

Survivors are his wife, the former Margaret Gilleran; a son, Christopher M. Murphy, Ossining; four daughters, Mrs. Leo Ashmore, Albany, Mrs. Henry J. Muller, Colonie, Mrs. Donald B. McCormack, Forest Hills, and Mrs. Robert Drake, Scotia; two brothers, Matthew and Joseph Murphy, both of Albany; 12 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
