Bessie L. Cyphert, 100, died Jan. 31, 2008, at Hospital District One of Rice County.

She was born Aug. 7, 1907, in Tulsa, Okla., the daughter of Oscar Fisher and Margaret Wall. She was a homemaker.

She belonged to St. Paul Catholic Church, Lyons.

She married John Cyphert in 1923, at Pawhuska, Okla. He died in 1979.

Other survivors include: three sons, Tom Cyphert, Topeka, John Cyphert, Lenexa, Robert Cyphert, Greeley, Co; three daughters, Rosemary Wilson, Wichita Frances Day, West Palm Beach, Fla., Margaret Canada, Kansas City, mo, 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: two daughters, Helen Wilson, Anna Lee Peverley.

Memorial Mass will be at 1 p.m. Friday, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Lyons, with Father Daniel Lorimer presiding. Burial will be in Geneseo Cemetery.

Memorials may be sent to: Good Samaritan Center, Lyons, and St. Paul Catholic Church Altar Society, in care of Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth.
