MRS. BESS DOLSON
Mrs. Bess V. Dolson, 77, 701 Jefferson, died at 5:38 a.m. today in Porter Memorial hospital after an illness of 3 1/2 years.
Born Sept. 7, 1886, in Union township, she was the daughter of T. and Josephine (Spencer) Clifford. She was married to Dr. A. O. Dobbins, who preceded her in death on Jan. 14, 1945. On March 15, 1950, she was married to Dr. Glenn S. Dolson, who survives.
Mrs. Dolson had been a resident of Valparaiso since 1924, coming from Wheeler. She was a member of the First Methodist church, WSCS, Order of Eastern Star, 164, member and past president of Past Matron's club, member and past president of PEO Sisterhood, and member of Valparaiso Woman's club.
Besides the husband, Mrs. Dolson is survived by one sister, Mrs. Nell Shawcroft, Whiting; and a number of nieces and nephews, including Mrs. Thelma Lamb and Abe Dobbins of this city.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Bartholomew Funeral home with Dr. Almon L. Coble, First Methodist church, officiating. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery.
Friends may call at the Bartholomew Funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday. Eastern Star rites will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday. The family reports that a memorial for Porter Memorial hospital is being established.
