Her marriage to Edward M. Bauer took place on September 1, 1951 at St. Leo Catholic Church in Milwaukee, moving to the Stevens Point area in late 70's.
Her husband Edward preceded her in death on October 26, 2001.
A homemaker, she loved taking care of her home and anything outdoors, be it gardening, mowing, tree trimming or picking blueberries. When Edward was living, the couple enjoyed traveling to see family. Her greatest joy was being with her family and friends.
Survivors include her son Kenneth Bauer of Middleton, WI.; two grandchildren Christopher (Courtney) Bauer, Des Moines, IA and Morgan (Jeff) Fingas of MI. ; 6 great grandchildren, Chloe, Milton, Shane, Heidi, Kenneth and Minda; along with numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Elsie was preceded in death by her husband Edward; daughter-in-law, Carol Bauer; five brothers, Robert, Hubert, Sylvester, Jerome and Peter; and two sisters Caroline Patoka and Lorraine Binter.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A.M. Friday, September 9, 2022 at St. Mary's of Mt Carmel Catholic Church – Fancher, 3995 County Road K, Amherst, WI 54406. Rev. Jerzy Rebacz officiating. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 A.M at the church until the time for mass.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a memorial contribution in Elsie's name are encouraged to do so to the charity of the donor's choice.
