McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Opal Agnes King Davis, age 96, was born December 3, 1925 and died August 27, 2022 at her residence following a brief illness.
A homemaker and a member of Locust Street Church of God, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Lillie Mae Cooley King. She was married to Will A. Davis on November 29, 1947, who preceded her in death on November 20, 2010. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Bearl Kirby, Sr.; brothers, Avery, Osmond, Warnie, Orval, Robert Lee, Jr., Ray and Roy King and sisters, Inis Crowe and Jessie Watson.
Ms. Davis is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Leonard Thomas (Donna) Davis of Allenhurst, GA; three grandchildren, Bearl (Regina) Kirby of Morrison, TN, Stephanie (Jimmy) Bolin of Crossville, TN and Scott Brown of Atlanta, GA; one great-grandson, Dustin Thomas Kirby of Morrison, TN; sister, Edna Campbell of McMinnville, TN and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.
Funeral service and will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2022 in High's Chapel with Roland Sharpe and Scotty Lawson officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville, TN
High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Side note: Opal had a massive stroke in her home one evening nearly a month after losing her brother. Thankfully her sister was with her and her niece arrived and called 911. She was returned home, mostly unresponsive, and passed with her son at her side and surrounded by enormous amounts of love. -K
