EUNICE - It is with the heaviest hearts that the family of Clara Bollich Miller announces her passing on Friday, August 19, 2022 at her home surrounded by loved ones at the age of 93. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Eunice. Burial will follow in the St. Lawrence Cemetery with Father Michael Sucharski, SVD, Celebrant.

Clara, known as "Tay" to her family & friends, was very proud of her German heritage. Early in their marriage, she and her husband, Durland, with baby Popeye in tow, enjoyed frequent summer trips to Colorado accompanied by various members of Durland's family. She loved music and her Catholic faith, and in her early years sang in the choir and played the organ at St. Lawrence Church. She often purchased much of the records played in the family home and loved to dance with her children. The family had many wonderful vacations together and in later years, she enjoyed traveling with her daughters to Europe and visited Germany, Italy, Austria, Switzerland and France. All these things aside, what she loved most was being with her family, had an abiding love for all of humanity, and always had a helping hand for those in need. The family would like to extend special thanks to all the staff of Lamm Hospice and her caregivers Ana Hogan, Ana Hernandez and Val Eakins.

Clara will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her especially her children, Larry "Popeye" Miller and wife, Sue of Scott, Lisa Miller Mouton and husband, Thomas of Lafayette, Susan Miller Mouton and husband, Mark Tyrrell of Crowley, and Katherine Miller of Beaumont, TX; brother, Gregory Bollich and wife, Pat of Eunice; sisters, Barbara "Penny" LeJeune and husband, James of Egan, Diane Elkins of Denver, CO, and Judy Hollier of Crowley; eight grandchildren, Amy Sanchez, Laurie Miller, Katy Ancelet, Stephen Miller, Thomas Mouton, Jr., Martin Mouton, Claire Ashbey, and David Mouton; ten great grandchildren, as well as extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Durland Miller; parents, Frank Bollich Jr. and Barbara Zaunbrecher Bollich; siblings, Loretta Gaspard, Gerald Bollich, Donald Bollich, Lawrence Bollich, Austin Bollich, Elmo Bollich, Elaine Turk, and Sylvia Lintzen; and great granddaughter, Margo Grace Mouton.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, August 22nd from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and again on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 from 8:00 am until 10:30 am. A Rosary will be prayed Monday evening at 6:00 pm by Mrs. Loretta Kurta.
