Clara, known as "Tay" to her family & friends, was very proud of her German heritage. Early in their marriage, she and her husband, Durland, with baby Popeye in tow, enjoyed frequent summer trips to Colorado accompanied by various members of Durland's family. She loved music and her Catholic faith, and in her early years sang in the choir and played the organ at St. Lawrence Church. She often purchased much of the records played in the family home and loved to dance with her children. The family had many wonderful vacations together and in later years, she enjoyed traveling with her daughters to Europe and visited Germany, Italy, Austria, Switzerland and France. All these things aside, what she loved most was being with her family, had an abiding love for all of humanity, and always had a helping hand for those in need. The family would like to extend special thanks to all the staff of Lamm Hospice and her caregivers Ana Hogan, Ana Hernandez and Val Eakins.
