Richard L. Arnold, 87 of San Jose, died Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at the Mason City Area Nursing Home.
He was born June 16, 1920 in Emden, the son of William and Lena (Hilgendorf) Arnold. He married Margaret Hobbs on May 7, 1950 in Peoria, she survives.
Survivors are his wife; Margaret; one daughter: Judy L. Kindred of Lincoln; one son: Steven (Denise) Arnold of Mason City; one stepdaughter: Sheila (Allen) Spinner of Streamwood; one brother: Glen Arnold of Delavan and one sister Lois Vaughn also of Delavan.
Mr. Arnold is preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Mr. Arnold was a farmer, and then started working for Caterpillar Inc. until he retired. He also served in the United States Air Force.
Burial will be at Allens Grove Cemetery.
