We invite the entire town of Hendersonville NC, Western NC and all of the Fishermen from North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama to Georgia & Florida, etc! Please come join us to say our final farewell to Charles Murphy (MURPH) who was an amazing husband, an awesome Daddy, an incredible Pawpaw & Great Paw-Paw, an amazing brother, an outstanding uncle, a loyal cousin and a friend to everyone he met! Charles was just a small-town Country boy from Hendersonville, North Carolina, The Bass Master, held many Bass big fish or ponds records at many Lakes through the years from 1977-2021. He presently held 2 Keowee Lake records, he was a Bass Fishing Tournament Winner of many Tournaments over the years from 1975-2021, Murphy's Tournaments (Bass Tournaments) & a NC Bowling Champion, a Manger of Ball teams, Ball player, Hunter, Water Ski Skills & Salesmanship in many different Businesses including Sears, Boats, etc! He was the owner of Murphy Home Improvement, a man of many talents and accomplishments throughout the years. We are so proud of him and how hard he worked to make a better life! He came from a family of 13 Siblings with humble beginnings and each worked hard to accomplish great things in their lives as well. The Murphy Family is Strong, Faithful, Family Centered & always Brothers and Sisters. He was so proud of our huge Family and us all individually. He met the love of his life at the age of 18 Elizabeth Murphy. They both worked at Free Service Appliance in Tire Center located in Hendersonville, NC. Later on they Married & had two children Chris Murphy and Charlene Murphy Pickens. They have 5 Grandchildren Jadeian Pickens, Brenden Pickens, Quraan Pickens, Shaikeem Pickens &
Candace Pickens. They also have 3 Great Grandchildren Zachaeus Waters, Amara Pickens & Italy Pickens. Their 59 years together have been full of love, lots of laughter, the best of friends, great business partners and many years of nothing but beautiful memories. We all will always cherish each & every memory forever & we were blessed to have him in our lives! My Daddy was absolutely one of the finest men you could ever meet & as his child I know that I had the best daddy ever! He always made sure his family came first & he took good care of us in every single way! He taught Chris & I so many things over the years such as riding motorcycles, swimming, skiing, tubing, skating, basketball, baseball, boating, racing, fishing, hunting & he taught us how to drive anything on the wheels or not, the craziest sides of life. We are the NC Bowling Champions by his teaching! Most importantly he showed us that his family came first, he showed us love, respect, loyalty, honor, kindness & pure Southern raising! He always showed that we could achieve anything if we set our minds to it, just as he always did for himself. We were always so proud to say our Daddy is Charles Murphy! He definitely loved his family, especially all five of his grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Pawpaw was strong in more ways than one. HE TAUGHT EACH ONE OF US TO BE TRUE TO OURSELVES AND ONE ANOTHER. He loved his entire family with all his heart & he definitely loved his town of Hendersonville from one end to the other & I hope y'all can be a part of his final farewell!! We all were blessed in so many different ways to have him & he will definitely always & forever be missed & loved.
