He came to Washington in 1903 working on the steamboats from Wenatchee to Brewster for several years. He has famed near Brewster during the last few years, having come to Chelan two months ago and lived with his daughter, Mrs. Victor Haight until his death last week.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife at Vernonia and five daughters, one daughter having preceded him in death; Mrs. R. D. Ellison, Spokane; Mrs. F. M. Bicknell, Walla Walla; Mrs. C. H. McBeth, Geneva, Nebraska; Miss Dorothy Acord, Vernonia; two sons Robert and Lawrence of Vernonia; 14 grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Jessie Lacy, Chelan; Mrs. Della Handy, Percival, Iowa; Mrs. Adam Beak, Mrs. Ward Elliot, Mrs. Cecil Brownley of Riverside; six brothers, Albert of Twisp, Jim of Pateros, Walter of Binlon City, Wa., Earl and Arthur in Ca., and Fred in Nebraska.
