She was a member of the Blue Valley Memorial United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women Circle, Eastern Star and Riverside Club. She was president of the Colorado Plaza Association for three years, Gold Age Club four years and the Blue Valley Club two years. She was a member of Vermillions Eastern Star Chapter, the Presbyterian Church, the ladies aide society and the women's club. She often gave one-woman performances where she would dress in costume and give "readings" from memory for club socials and organizations. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by six sisters, Cora Mallon, Frances Creighton, Roxie Judd, Jessie Whitney, Grace Eddy and Nellie Westgate, and a brother, Charlie Allen.
