Mary L. Van Noy, 91, passed away Sunday, May 22nd, 2022.

She was born February 7, 1931, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Robert William Colson and Ellen Laurine Pedersen.

She married Dean T. Van Noy, July 25, 1950, in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Mary was raised in Swan Valley Idaho. Attended High School at Idaho Falls High and college at Brigham Young University where she met her eternal partner.

She lived in Swan Valley, Rigby, Boise, and St George. She was very talented and started a wedding catering business with a friend. Mary could turn any space into a place of beauty. She loved to garden and was an expert in preserving her harvest. Mary sewed little girl dresses, drill team and cheerleading costumes and not just for her family but for all those who needed that help. She also loved to play games, especially mahjong. You know… that game with little tiles.

Mary's brothers and sisters, LaDene Parsons (deceased), LaRene Smith (deceased), Robert E Colson (deceased), James B Colson, Karen Hill, Steven D Colson, and Kathleen Egan were a treasure to her.

Mary is now with her sweetheart Dean T Van Noy in heaven.

Together they raised Alex D Gold, Ricky Dean Van Noy, Ellen Hackbarth, Yvonne Hendry, Carrolyn Jacobsen, Lorraine Transtrum, Nathon Van Noy and Jonathon Van Noy. She has 22 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Her posterity will always cherish the time they had with her.

The Viewing for Mary L Van Noy will be held on Friday, May 27th, from 2 – 4 pm at Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 S Bluff Street, St. George, Utah.

The Graveside Service and Interment will be held on Wednesday, June 1st at 12 noon at Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd, Ogden, Utah.

Our family would like to acknowledge and thank the Spring Gardens and Hospice Team for their amazing love and care they gave our Mother over the last year.
