Mrs. Hall was born March 17, 1905, in the Big Cove section of Candler to Charles and Nannie Cole Williams. She was married to Gay Hall who died in 1968, and was also preceded in death by three sisters, Thelma Darrough, Charity Fowler and Hattie Morgan, and two brothers, Edom and Woodrow Williams.
She was a 1926 graduate of Candler School and earned a teaching certificate at Cullowhee in 1927. After teaching elementary school for one year she went to work at the new American Enka Corporation, where she stayed until retiring 36 years later.
Mrs. Hall always enjoyed gardening, canning, quilting and reading. She was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a number of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
