Mrs. Emma Mesmer

Mrs. Emma S. Mesmer, 85, of 524 N. Gertrude, died at 6 a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis hospital after a long illness.

She was born Dec. 11, 1871, at Burlington, the daughter of Leander and Barbara Mesmer. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic church.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Anna Vogelgesang, Burlington, and Mrs P.J. Hynes, Longview, Colo.; two brothers, Edwin L. and Leander F. Mesmer, both of Burlington.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic church, preceded by brief family prayers at 10:15 at Giles Funeral home.

Burial will be in Sacred Heart cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
