Alkice was the first of six childrenof Margaret Mary (Maggie) Jordan and her second husband, Joseph H. (Jack) Harrison. Her siblings were: Charlotte Ellen (b. 1870), Henry Jordan (b. 1872), Myrtle Jane (b. 1874), Grace Bernice (b. 1875), and Francis Marin (b. 1877). Alice also had a half brother, Hiram Lewis Curtis (called Edgar, b. 1861) by her mother's first marriage, to Hiram Lewis Curtis. Alice's mother died when she was only 11 years old and their father remarried only three months after the death. He and his second wife, Jane Comstock, gave Akice several more half-siblings: Ephraim (b. 1881), Joseph (b. 1883), Lamaria Elmira (b. 1885), Gilman C. (b. 1888), and William Daniel (b. 1896).

At the time of the 1880 census in Diamond Bluff, several months after her mother's death and father's remarriage, Alice's family was split up. Only Myrtle and Henry are with their father and new wife in 1880. Lottie is listed as the adopted daughter of Timothy Goggin and his wife, who lived next door to the family with whom Alice lived in 1880. Grace is living with John and Catherine Brewer as their daughter. I have been unable to locate little Frank Marin in an 1880 census.

At age 17 in 1885, Alice married Thomas John Miley 1856-1940). Thefamily lived in Akeley, MN in 1900, in St. Paul MN in 1905, in Stanley ND in 1910 - 1930, in Haywood, CA in 1935, and in Kimshew, CA in 1940, the year Alice's husband died. She then moved briefly to Modesto, CA to live with their son Edwin and appears in the City Doiectory there in 1942; by 1950, she was back in Kimshew.

Alice and Tom had three sons: Francis Harrison (b. 1890), Earl Edwin (b. 1893), and Thomas Lorace (b. 1900,). Raymond A. DeLuchhi (b. 1922) lived with them as their foster son.
