Myrtle was the fourth of six children of Joseph H. (Jack) Harrison (1845-1905) and his first wife, Margaret Mary (Maggie) Jordan (1845-1879). Myrtle's siblings were: Alice May (1868-1952), Charlotte Ellen (1870-1891), Henry Jordan (1872-1925), Grace Bernice (1875-1953), and Francis Marin (1877-1954). Their mother died when Myrtle was only 5 years old and her father remarried a few months later. The family were split up at the time of the 1880 census. Myrtle and her and brother Henry (age 7) were the only children of Maggie living with their father and his new wife this year, in Red Wing, MN.

On 19 October 1890, Myrtle, age 16, married Robert Clement Masters in Morrison, MN. The couple had six children between 1892 and 1908: Ethel Mae, Lillian May, Orven Henry, Grace Bernice, John J., and Robert Howard. In 1900, they lived in Grant, NE; by 1905, they were in Crow Wing, MN, where they appear also in the 1910 census. Myrtle and Robert divorced about 1915. Myrtle married Alexander George Brock (1854-1945) on May 13 1919. They had one son, Winfred Alexander (Fred) Brock B(b. 18 Oct. 1917). They lived in Orange County, California.

Myrtle's second husband died in 1946; the 1950 census shows her living with her son Robert Masters in Compton, CA, where she died in 1954.
