GUNDA ERICKSEN GIMLE FEB. 15, 1911 - JAN. 17, 2007 Gunda Gimle, 95 of Turlock passed away at the age of 95. She was born in Olso, Norway. She was the 5th of eight children.
She is survived by two daughters and sons in law, Lillian Gimle Kennedy and husband Leroy, Gloria Gimle Woods and husband Darryl all of Turlock. Her grandchildren, Coleen Kennedy Peterson of Parker, Colorado, David Woods of Turlock, Gary Woods of Aptos and Randy Woods of Turlock. 12 great grandchildren also survive.
Gunda was preceded in death by her husband, Olaus Gimle, daughter, Doris Gimle and grandson, Michael Robert Kennedy.
Gunda will be truly missed. She was loved by everyone. At one time, Gunda was an active member of our community and was a member of Monte Vista Chapel. She loved to cook, especially for her grand children. She showed a true example of a person who represented service above self.
Visitation will be held from 10am to Noon Monday, January 22, 2007, followed by a funeral at 1:00 pm at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd. in Turlock. Interment will follow at Turlock Memorial Park.
