Born in Bruning, Neb. to George H. and Wilhelmina (Kuhlmann) Bliss.
Graduated in 1950. After graduation, she worked at Messman Produce in Strang, Neb.
Wilma and Loren Mahloch were married on January 13, 1951, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Bruning.
The family lived in Bruning for a short time and then moved to a farm three miles south of Belvidere. They resided there for 17 years. They were blessed with four children, Brenda, Julie, Laurie and Marlin. They moved into Hebron in 1969, where Wilma worked at Blue Valley Lutheran Nursing Home for 15 years. She later worked in home health and the senior center. She was a member of the Thayer County VFW Auxillary and served as president for four years. She loved older citizens and children, baby sitting and she also helped at Things & Stuff in Hebron.
Survived by: children, Brenda Romanek, Wildomar, Calif.; Julie Murphy, Manhattan, Kan.; Laurie Wolf, New Cambria, Kan.; Marlin Mahlock, Yuba City, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Loran Thumann, Hebron, Neb.; many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service 11 a.m. Thursday (1/17/08) at Grace Lutheran Church, Hebron, Neb.
Burial: Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Bruning, Neb.
Visitation 8 a.m. - 9 p.m. Wednesday Jan. 16, 2008 with family greeting friends from 7-9 p.m. at Price Funeral Home, Hebron.
Memorials to Hebron Rescue Unit; Grace Lutheran Church Organ Fund; American Cancer Society or the American Heart Fund.
