Janeth Allenson Fox, 89, of New Paltz, NY, passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2004, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She was a retired art and mechanical drawing teacher at Thomas Jefferson High School, Brooklyn, NY. She was a resident of New Paltz for three years and previous resident of Riverdale, NY. Mrs. Fox was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Yonkers Post -past Westchester County President, 8/40 past Chaplain, Westchester Co. Branch; Rebekah's- Past Noble Grand Member of NYS Assembly and Past Herald; National Board-Women's Branch of Orthodox Hatle Organization; Odd Fellows. Mrs. Fox was born in NYC, NY on December 3, 1914 to father Samuel Allenson (deceased) and mother Bertha Ravner Allenson (deceased). She was educated at Pratt Institute; NYU- received her BS in Education, Columbia- received her MA, Post Graduate education at Columbia on her way to PhD. She was married to the late Marvin Fox. She is survived by brother William Allenson, of New Paltz, NY. Her brother Morton Allenson was missing in action during WWII. No calling hours. Funeral is private.
