Carmel Haire, the son of Abraham Quick Haire and Mary Elizabeth Nimmo, was born about 1883 probably in Leitchfield, Grayson County, Kentucky where his parents were living at the time of the 1880 census. Carmel's wife, Laura Belle Reeves, was born on December 18, 1885 in Upton County, Kentucky. They were married in Kentucky on December 25th of an unidentified year. She died on June 24, 1979 in Meadville, Franklin County, Mississippi.
Carmel Haire died in Grayson County at the age of 81 on May 5, 1964. His actual place of burial is unknown at this time. Notice that the following Kentucky Death Record spells his name as Caramel Haire.

Judy stated, "Their son, the Rev. Abraham Franklin Haire [1923-1998] is distantly related to me by marriage so I have him and photos, etc. on my family tree."
