PRESTON, Sept. 7--- Charles E. Edgar, well known Preston citizen, died at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, Sunday morning, after an illness of a month's duration. Born in Blair, son of the late John Edgar, Mr. Edgar lived in Preston for some years, then moved to Chicago where he operated a clothing business, returning to Preston six years ago. He was in his 77th year and was a member of St. Paul's United Church. His wife, Rose Ohlman predeceased him three years ago. Surviving are three sisters, Miss Florence Edger, Miss Ida Edger and Mrs. James Landreth, all of Preston. Funeral services were conducted from the Stager-Pass Funeral Home at 2: 30 this afternoon with interment in the Preston Cemetery.
