Miss Marie BEEMS and Clarence STOBER were married at Wayne on Thursday by Judge Cherry. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.E. BEEMS of this city and for the past years has been a telephone operator at the Randolph central office. She has capacity and has given satisfacotion in her four years of service. Mr. STOBER is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin STOBER, well known pioneer farmers and citizens of the Randolph vicinity. He is a good farmer, industrious and capable. Services Held for Mrs. Maree STOBER
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Steckelberg mortuary for Mrs. Maree STOBER, 55, long time resident of this vicinity, who died February 5 at a Norfolk hospital. She had been hospitalized only a week, but her condition had been grave for several days before her death.
Rev. H. Jay Timmer officiated at the rites and interment was in the Beems family plot at the Randolph cemetery.
Lola Maree BEEMS, daughter of Joseph and Eva BEEMS, was born December 16, 1897 at Harlan, Ia. As a young child, she came with her parents to this community, where the family resided on a farm. She was married in 1923 to Clarence STOBER. For the last 16 years, she had made her home in Randolph with her mother.
Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Elwyn MANZER of Boise, Ida.; aged mother, Mrs. Eva BEEMS of Randolph; two sisters, Mrs. Harold ZART of Crofton and Mrs. M. L. Lanphear of Randolph; two brothers Elmer of Cedar Rapids, Ia. and John of Crofton; four grandchildren, Dennis, Wesley, Warren and Sheryl Manzer. Her father preceder her in death.
Pallbearers were Wm. Cunningham, N. B. Moran, Lowell Van Slyke, Roy Gibson, Jim Jensen and Vurney Copple.
