DEATH OF MR. HUGH WYNDHAM.
The death is reported of Mr. Hugh Wyndham, owner of Bukkulla station, Inverell, aged 72 years. Deceased's father was one of the early pioneers of the Inverell district, and took up Bukkulla about the year 1837, bringing his family there seven years later, Hugh being then a child, seven years old. The late Mr. Wyndham had resided at Bukkulla since. He was one of the earliest appointed magistrates of the district, and frequently sat on the Bench at the police court after its establishment at Inverell over 40 years ago. Deceased leaves a widow and family of two sons and six daughters. His remains were interred at Bukkulla. The father of Mr. Wyndham took up a squattage on the Richmond in the early days, which he sold to Mr. W. C. Bundock, and his name is still connected therewith in Wydham's Plain.
