DEATH OF MRS. C. WYNDHAM. INVERELL, Sunday.
The death occurred of Mrs. Celia Wyndham, a member of one of the pioneering families. She was 91 years of age, and had spent 70 years of her life In the Inverell district. She was the daughter of Dr. Haylock, of Essex, England, and came to Australia with her mother and the other children in the Samarang to join her father, who was already settled in New South Wales. In 1862 she married the late Mr. Hugh Wyndham, of Bukkulla station, 22 miles north of Inverell. The homestead block is owned by her only surviving son, Hugh. Another son, Captain Heathcote Wyndham, was killed at the war. Six of her 10 children survive, five daughters being Mrs.J. G. Fitzgerald, Mrs. A. F. Kemp, Mrs. Carsdale, Mrs. J. T. Dale, and Mrs. Burne. There are 31 grandchildren and 19 great grand-children. She was buried in the private cemetery at Bukkulla, in the presence of a great gathering of local residents.
