He had a military career spanning 34 years from December 1959 until his honorable discharge in June 2001. His service included 4 years in the Air Force playing Triple A baseball as a shortstop, and 30 years in the National Guard where he achieved the rank of Sergeant. After retiring from the military, he spent many years fishing, golfing, watching westerns and wrestling, and playing with his grandchildren.
Dale is survived by his sister; his three children; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jewell and Henry McBaine; his brothers, WIlliam Jr. McBaine and Frank McBaine; and his sisters, Ruth Harris and Mary Acton.
A visitation for Dale will be Friday, April 22, 2022 from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm with funeral services at 12:00 pm, both at Memorial Funeral Home. A short graveside service will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO at 2:00 pm.
