Son of William Weeks, who, according to Franklin's obituary, was the designer of the Mormon Tabernacle in Salt Lake City as well as numerous buildings in downtown Los Angeles (as of 1941). His mother was Caroline Allen (parents married 12 June 1839 in Adams County, IL).

NOTE: I did some research regarding William and discovered the obit contained a rather significant error: his father, William, designed a Mormon Temple in Nauvoo, Illinois, around 1845, NOT the existing Tabernacle in Salt Lake City. The Nauvoo temple burned in a fire and was hit by a tornado not long after it was built. But I discovered it was rebuilt fairly recently, around 2010 I believe.

Franklin married Annie Gilmore in Los Angeles and farmed there according to the obituary. His long-time home was at 415 W Regent Street in Inglewood; this is just west of the San Diego Freeway and south of Florence Avenue. Today there are new homes on the street (Google Street View).

After some research, I found Franklin married Anna Laura Gilmore in 1909. I was not able, however, to find him in the 1900 Census which was disappointing.

Franklin and Annie had 2 daughters, Ruth and Dorothy.

Franklin died in 1941 and his obituary appeared in the Los Angeles Times on W 22 Oct 1941, noting burial had occurred at Inglewood Park Cemetery. I called the cemetery today to confirm this and obtained the plot information.
