Adela (Della) Trujillo, age 100, passed away peacefully at home on March 19th, 2022 in Montezuma, New Mexico. She was born to the late Odelia (Sanchez) and Valentin Madrid on March 5, 1922, in Trementina, New Mexico.

Della married Arthur Trujillo on March 30, 1957 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Holman, NM.

She worked as a waitress and later employed at Javal Parachute factory.

She was actively involved with Immaculate Conception Church and belonged to the Catholic Daughters of America. Della was very physically active and enjoyed all her volunteer time at the church and she loved the outdoors.

Della was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Trujillo; her parents, Odelia (Sanchez) and Valentin Madrid; brothers, Percy Madrid, Alejandro Madrid and Perfecto Madrid; and sisters: Dolores Madrid, Florinda Cartwright, Julia Garcia, Drucella Quintana, Polly Vialpando and Rafelita Pacheco.

She is survived by her sisters, Marjorie Madrid (Las Vegas, NM), and Petra (Howard) McClure (Pensacola, FL.); sister-in-law, Nora Madrid; several nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Pallbearers were: Manuel Pacheco, Michael Madrid, Archie Archuleta, Hank Madrid, Chuck Martinez and Floyd N. Marquez.
