Joseph Morlan family moved from Crawford Co., Ohio to Marshall Co., Iowa in 1853. Ruth Morlan married Marshall Bishop 1 Jan 1866 in LaMoille, Marshall Co., Iowa. Marshall Bishop and eldest daughter Mattie Martha Bishop are buried next to each other in the Hartland Friends Cemetery, Hartland, Marshall Co., Iowa. Ruth Morlan Bishop, and families, moved to Hobart, Kiowa Co., OK. in 1904.Ruth Morlan Bishop died 23 April 1931 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the home of Dollie Bishop Dale, her daughter.She was buried in the Hobart Rose Cemetery, Kiowa Co., Oklahoma. A daughter Adelene Bishop Bretch and a son Archie Bishop remained in the Hobart area. They are also buried in the Hobart Rose Cemetery.
