Alvah Glover went to Rainy Mountain Indian School in Kiowa County (School taught children to 6th grade) to sell Corn. He was hired to take care of the dairy herd and teach agriculture. He lived in a house at the school. Alvah later went to the Nebraska Winnebago Indian reservation to work and his family went with him. Later, he went to Bismarck, N.D. to work on an Indian reservation. His family stayed with relatives in Odessa, Washita, Oklahoma. Alvah subsequently returned to Rainy Mountain. Alvah served as the Kiowa/Comanche County Indian Agent until he retired.
