FERRIS---Ambrose Ferris, age 36, died at 3:35 o'clock Friday afternoon at his home, 2437 Jackson, after an illness of two years with tuberculosis. He came here from Commerce, Okla., ten months ago, and was a member of the Knights and Ladies of Security. Besides his widow, Mrs. Alma Ferris, Mr. Ferris is survived by his mother, Mrs. Mary Ferris and two daughters, Geneva, age 10, and Vera, age 7, of Wichita; a step-son, Alfred Shaffer and step-daughter, Mrs. Laura Loretta Blazer, of Commerce; six sisters, Mrs. Verda Rooks, Mrs. Lena McPherson, Mrs. Mattie Nice, Mrs. Rhoda Smyser, Miss Dora Ferris, all of Wichita; Mrs. Cora Smith, Arkansas City; three brothers, Jack, W. E., and Lee Ferris, all of Wichita. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 o'clock Monday at the Wichita Undertaking Company's Parlors. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
