Joseph E. Dodds, 75, of 208 West Artesia Avenue, Belleflower, died yesterday at his home. He was born in Illinois and came from Wichita, Kan., to Long Beach in 1927. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Kansas. He leaves a daughter, Mrs. Nina I. Doughty of Bellflower; sisters, Mrs. Robert Mullen of San Pedro, Mrs. Otto Bennett of Merriam, Kan., Mrs. Victor Bowers and Mrs. Wes Brown, both of Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Tom Thompson of Oatville, Kan.; brother, Jesse Dodds of San Pedro. Private service will be conducted Friday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Patterson & Snively.
