Lee Baker Rites Held Monday, October 5
Lee Elbert Baker, son of Seth and Julia Mae Baker was born July 24, 1913 at Osceola, Missouri.
At the age of 46 years he died shortly after 1:00 o'clock am October 2, 1959, at Bryan Memorial Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska.
He was baptized and received into the Baptist church of LaRue Ohio at the age of 14. Most of his childhood was spent in Iowa.
In May, 1940 he was married to Nellie Brown and to this union three children were born. They are Clinton Barlow, Dixie Lee and William Joseph.
The family moved to the Newell Community in 1941. He spent two years on the Jens Nielsen farm, and 14 years as an electrician for Newell Electric. At the time of his death he was employed by the Community Electric of Lincoln, Nebraska.
Lee was preceded in death by his father, Seth Baker, a sister, Violet Irene, and a son, Clinton Barlow.
He leaves to mourn his untimely death his mother, Mrs. C. F. Shuster of St. Petersburg, Florida, two children, Dixie and Billy, a step son, Luther Brown, two sisters, Mrs. Melvin Manley, and Mrs. Wallace Johnson of Albert City. Also two brothers, Wesley of Newell and Joseph, White Salmon, Washington, other relatives and many friends.
