passed away.

Seth was born on May 20th 1885 in Grand River, Decatur County, Iowa, to parents Lucy Jane Shields and Joseph Baker. Seth was raised and educated in Grand River and helped his father with farming. He moved with his parents and siblings to Osceola, Missouri, after 1905. Here, he met and married Julia Mae Myers on March 21, 1909. This union was blessed with 6 children.

With his growing family Seth Baker returned to Iowa and settled in Warren County. On Mach 4th, he was struck with Influenza and passed away 14 days later. Seth Baker was a devoted husband, loving father, son, brother and uncle.

Preceded in death by his dear mother, Lucy Shields Baker, sister: Jennie Francis Baker and his loving grandmother, Sarah Elizabeth [Binning] Baker.

Those left to honor his memory are his devoted wife Julia [Myers] Baker, sons: Joseph Henry Baker age 13, Wesley Washington Baker age 12, age, Lee Elbert Baker age 10, daughters:Eugenia Mae Baker, age 6, Violet Irene Baker, age 4, & Artie Marie Baker, less then 2 years of age, his dear father Joseph Baker, Decatur County, Iowa, sisters:Laura Josephine [Baker] DeLa, Beulah Olive [Baker] Dela, both of North Dakota & Marietta [Baker] Chandler, South Dakota, brothers: Richard Leroy Baker & Karl Franklin Baker, also of North Dakota.
