The former Julie Mae Myers was born on December, 9th, 1893 in Osceola, St Clair County, Missouri, to parents, Susan Reece and James Myers. Julie was raised by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Washington Reece. She received a common school education in Osceola, Missouri.

A Iowa young man, Seth Sampson Baker moved from Iowa to Osceola, Missouri and captured her heart, and they were married on March 21st, 1909 in Osceola, St Clair County, Missouri. To this union six children were born three sons and three daughters.

Seth and Julie Baker moved back to Iowa and on March 18th, 1923, her beloved husband of 14 years, Seth Baker, passed away.

On September 1st, 1925 in Avoca, Pottawattamie County, Iowa, Julia Mae [Myers] Baker, married Clarence Franklin Shuster. They spent a few years in Highland, Guthrie, Iowa, and removed to Nebraska where her sons and daughters located. A few years were spent in Ohio with Clarence's parents and they removed to the Buena Vista County, Iowa. Here they enjoyed their time with their sons and daughters and grandchildren. The last 12 years Julie and Clarence spent in Pinellas County, Florida.

Julie Mae [Myers] Baker Shuster was preceded in death by her 1st husband Seth Sampson Baker, parents, children, Violet Irene Baker and Lee Elbert Baker.

Those left to honor her memory are daughters: Eugenia "Jeanne" Mae Rodoni & Artie Marie Manly, sons:Joseph Henry Baker & Wesley Washington Baker, her husband of 48 years, Clarence Franklin Shuster, 10 grandchildren and a host of friends.
