James Heaven is the son of John Heaven and Mary Hendersen-Heaven he married his neighbor Mary "Molly" Schell/Shell circa 1779 in Virginia. Mary was the daughter of Jacob and Catherine Schell. James, Mary and family later moved to Knox County Tennessee along with his wife's brother Christian Shell and his family. James died before 1810 in Knox County Tennessee, he is found in the 1804 early tax list for Knox County but not after that.
James and his father John Heaven serve under Captain Burk's Company - These men are listed as defenders of the frontier in 1774, they did NOT participate in the Battle of Point Pleasant. Refused, Oath of allegiance. 1775 John sends in request for any due his son James

2. Nancy Heaven married James Anderson (Margaret Anderson's nephew)
3. Amy Heaven married John Meek
4. Mary Polly Heaven married Robert McHaffie and Lazerus Tilly
5. Catherine Heaven married Thomas McConnell
6. Jacob Heaven
