Heaven/Haven/Havens The family is of Scotch Irish descent
NOTE: John Heaven and his wife Mary Henderson-Heaven did NOT have a son named John or Jonas who married Catherine Katy Henderson, nor did they have a son James who married Sarah Miller. (These are two separate families.) Further, John Heaven and his wife Mary Henderson-Heaven did not have a son named John, if they did then he died before 1777 because he is not named in John Heaven's will dated 10 June 1777.
John Heaven Jr is the son of John Heaven Sr. and Elizabeth Fettiplace-Heaven. John Heaven married Mary Henderson 4 April 1755 in Virginia.
John Heaven (Jr.) wrote his will on 10 June 1777 and it was recorded on Aug 6, 1782 (Montgomery County Will Book "B", p. 52). He left his estate to his wife, Mary , and his lands were to be divided between his sons, James and Richard, their land adjoining John's brother, Howard Heaven. Son William was to have the land on Walker's Creek. Daughters mentioned were Rebeckah, Margaret, Ruth, Rhodey and Elizabeth. Son Joseph was to have equal shares with his brothers.
The estate of John Heaven, (Jr) was appraised and recorded in Will Book "B", p. 61.
