her granddaughter-in-law, Carolyn Bullock, 22, were walking north on Highway 19-E. The car driven by Freda Croy, 51, of near Piney Flats, struck the elderly woman. The car also went into the creek and landed on top of Mrs. Bullock's body. Mrs. Croy and two passengers in her car were hospitalized for minor injuries and Carolyn Bullock was treated for shock. Carter County Chief Deputy Oscar Dykes said no charges were filed immediately. Mrs. Bullock became the 701st traffic victim of the year in Tennessee. BRISTOL

Funeral services for Rhoda Ann Bullock will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday from the Border View Christian Church with Richard Piper and R. S. Depew minister officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Robert, Walter, Tom, and Sam Bullock, Walter Wilson, Harry Reynolds, Roy Markland and Leonard Campbell. The body will remain at the Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 Friday evening, and will be removed to the church before the service.
