OBIT.....EDWARD HENRY GREEN
Rockwell City-Edward H. Green, 90, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2000, at Sunny Knoll Care Center, Rockwell City. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, east of Rockwell City with the Rev. John Lohman officiating. Burial is in Memorial Park Cemetery, Fort Dodge. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Palmer Funeral Home, Rockwell City.

Survivors include daughters Lorraine Green, West Des Moines, and Marcelyn Churchill, Urbandale; three grandsons; two great-grandsons; and sister Helen Millis, Lake City. He was preceded in death by his parents Peter and Mary Guth Green, wife Dorothea Elizabeth Anne in 1990, daughter Carolyn, a son in infancy, five brothers and four sisters.

Edward H. Green was born Feb. 16, 1909, in Farnhamville where he was raised and educated in country schools. On Dec. 16, 1933, he married Dorothea Elizabeth Ann Vogel in Farnhamville, where they lived and farmed. In 1953, they moved to Lohrville. In 1958, they moved to Rockwell City. He worked as a carpenter most of his life. In 1967, they moved to Oelwein. In 1980, they retired and moved to Rockwell City. In 1996, he became a resident of the Sunny Knoll Care Center.

He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Rockwell City.
