Funeral services for Mrs. Mary C. Frotscher were held Wednesday, December 21, 1977, at the United Church of Christ, at 1:30 p.m. Final resting place, Reading Twp. cemetery.
Mary C. Green was born in Millvale, PA, and came to the area north of Farnhamville in 1902 with her family. She attended rural schools there and married Frederick C. Frotscher 17 Feb 1913. The couple farmed north of Farnhamville until 1943 when they moved into Farnhamville. Mr. Frotscher died in 1954 and Mrs. Frotscher lived here until 1973 when she moved to the Shady Oaks Care Center, Lake City.
She was a member of the Farnhamville American Legion Auxiliary and had served as auxiliary treasurer for many years. She was a member of the All Sew Club of Farnhamville.
She is survived by her children: Mrs. Catherine Deal of Rockwell City; Harold Frotscher of Somers; George Frotscher of Farnhamville; Mrs. Marianne Krug of Humboldt; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Hilda Pohl of Farnhamville, Mrs. Bertha Millis of Lake City, Mrs. Helen Millis of Oregon; brothers Fred Green of Farnhamville, William Green of Rockwell City, Edd Green of Oelwein, and Elmer Green of Klemme.
