John Edward Burton, Jr, age 72 of Greenbrier, TN passed away Friday, February 18, 2022 at his residence. The funeral service will be 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 24th at Calvary Baptist Church in Greenbrier with Bro. Donnie Bryant and Bro. Gary Dillard officiating. Burial will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4pm to 8pm on Tuesday, Feb. 22nd at the funeral home, 12pm to 8 pm on Wednesday, Feb. 23rd at the funeral home and 1pm until time of service on Thursday, Feb. 24 at Calvary Baptist Church.

John was born in Detroit, MI on November 13, 1949 to the late Johnie Edward (Sr) and Thelma Harper Burton. He was also preceded in death by sister, Brenda Campbell and a brother, Dennis Burton.
He served in the US Army and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He loved his family first and foremost. He enjoyed his motorcycle, cars, woodworking, playing guitar and karaoke.

He is survived by his wife, three sons, two sisters, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation. Contributions may be sent to Austin & Bell Funeral Home, 2619 Hwy 41 S., Greenbrier, TN 37073.
