Leroy Rugh, 56, well-known resident of 203 Front Street, and supervisor at the Oil Well Supply Co., Oil City, died at 5:10 p.m. Friday in the Franklin Hospital where he had been a patient since May 18. He had been in ill health for the past seven months.

The son of William C. and Olive Slater Rugh, he was born in Oil City on January 6, 1904. He attended the Oil City Public Schools and came to Franklin in 1926. He had been employed as a machinist at the Oil Well Supply Company for the past 36 years as a machinist and had been supervisor for the past 15 years.

A kindly man, Mr. Rugh was well and favorably known and his main interests were in his home and his family.

He was a member of the Grace Evangelical United Brethren Church.

Surviving along with his wife, the former Dorothy L. Mong, whom he married April 24, 1926, are the following children: Donald M. Rugh, Mrs. Clair E. (Janet Louise) Sloss, Eugene Leroy Rugh, and James Sibley Rugh, all of Franklin; 11 grandchildren; three brothers, Fred M. Rugh, Franklin; Pern V. Rugh, Franklin; and George W. Rugh, Oil City; and several nieces and nephews. One son, Jack P. Rugh died in 1938.

The body was removed to the Huff Chapel (formerly Barron Chapel) where friends may call at any time and where funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday by the Rev. Charles L. Rummel, pastor of the Grace Evangelical United Brethren Church. Interment will be
made in the Franklin Cemetery.
