Mother of 17 Dies Sunday at City Hospital
All Children Living, With One Set of Twins; Ill Since January

Mrs. Mary Gertrude Saxton, aged 41, wife of Earl Saxton of Troy Center, died at the City hospital at 2:10 a.m. Sunday, following an operation last Friday. She had been ill since January. The deceased was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Rugh and was born in Oil City April 27, 1900. She was married to Mr. Saxton August 11, 1917, and had lived in Troy township ever since. She was a member of the Troy Center Grange.

To Mr. and Mrs. Saxton were born 17 children, all of whom are living. They are:
1) Mrs. Willis McKean of Oil City.
2) Richard of Pleasantville
3) Carl of Titusvillle
4) Beaulah of Titusville
5) Howard
6) Mildred
7) Jean
8) Hazel
9) Earl, Jr.
10) Alvin
11) Weldon
12&13) Donna and Duane - twins
14) James
15) Beverly
16) Nancy
17) Patricia
There are three grandchildren and four brothers: Fred Rugh of Franklin, Pernell and Leroy of Rocky Grove and George of Oil City....

Interment will be in the Troy Center Cemetery.
