Samuel Simon Salyers, age 88, of Moraine, passed away February 1, 2022. He was born March 16, 1933 in Elliot Co., Kentucky to the late David Marion and Eliza Ellen (Ison) Salyers. He was retired from GM after more than 39 years of service.

Samuel had a passion for gardening especially growing roses and he enjoyed feeding and watching the birds. Samuel was devoted to his church and family.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Neal, wife Edna Pauline (Baldridge) Salyers, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

Samuel is survived by his brother John Salyers; 4 children, Keith Salyers, Sherry Lynn (James) Hampton, Todd Salyers, Melissa Mullins; daughter-in-law Rosie Heaton; his grandchildren Steven Herman, Chris Herman, Deana Martin, Brittany (Steven) Collett, Cody (Elizabeth) Salyers, Tabitha Lynn Hampton, Ricky Neal Hampton, Travis Salyers, Kristina Salyers, Joshua, Nicholas, Emily, Tyler Salyers, Skyler Salyers, and twins Heavenly and Trevor Mullins. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren Zachary Herman, Kayla Herman, Austin Herman, Chase Hauff, Gabriel Hauff, Kameron Martin, Millie Collett, Malachi Salyers, Maverick Salyers, Paisley Salyers, Isabella Brown, Brantley Brown, Austin and Kaylie, Max Herman, Kilie Jade, Jackson, and Regan Hampton, Tessah, Agatha, Sofiya, Priscilla and John Ison Salyers, along with 2 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and other loving family members.

Samuel leaves a legacy of family, friends and love.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022 from 1:00 pm until time of service at 2:00 pm at Newcomer Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery.
