Johnson City - Mary P. Orzell of Johnson City fell asleep in the Lord on Friday morning, January 28, 2022, at Wilson Hospital.

She is survived by her husband, the love of her life and best friend for seventy-five years, William F. Orzell, four daughters, Karinn Nazak, Nikki Slocum, Lisa ( Ed) Kachmar, and Pamela Lockwood (Mike Miccalizzi), her son William (Susan) Orzell, her grandchildren; Jason (Jennifer) Nazak, Nicholas (Cathy) Nazak, Greg Nazak, Jess (Erin) Cron, Zakory Cron, Hailley (Kyle) Harvey, Jacob (Stephanie) Kachmar, and Jared (Samantha) Kachmar, six great grandchildren; Lindsay, Rachel, Alyvia, Zoey, Cortney and Brayden, her sisters, Josephine Sedor, Jane Mastrogiovanni, and Carole Paccio, her sister-in-law, Dolores Visocky, and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents John (Susan Spisak) Plavka, her in-laws, William (Anna) Orzell, her sister, Anne (Joseph) Shapinas, her brothers-in-law, Edward Sedor, Sam Mastrogiovanni , Carl Paccio and, Joe Visocky and two sons-in-law, Edward Nazak and Kevin Slocum,

She was an active member of St. Michael's Orthodox Church taking part for many years working at the annual pirohi sales. She was a retired sales representative for American Greetings.

She loved and was devoted to her family and created a children's story, "Tale of Puffy the Fairy" with her grandchildren. She was the best wife, mom, granny, great grandma and sister in the world.

A funeral service will be offered by Very Rev. Protopresbyter James Dutko on Wednesday at 11am at St. Michael's Orthodox Church, 292 Clinton Street, Binghamton where the family will receive friends Wednesday 10-11am at the church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery at the convenience of the family in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mary's memory to her church.
