For OFFICIAL information or questions on those buried in Union, please send an email to the OFFICIAL email address for Union. The link to the email address is found on Union's Bio Page here on Find A Grave.
The cemetery can be reached through the Official email address that is on our website. There is no cemetery office on the cemetery property, but any inquiries can be directed to that email.
As of July 28, 2018, there are 78 burials on Find A Grave that are not confirmed as being in McDonough Village Union Cemetery per official records (and some are duplicates). There have not been hundreds of stones lost. Not sure where this info came from, but it is not true. We have access to the official records (handwritten and otherwise) and have been working on updating them for the last 7 years. We have shared a lot of information with creators of the memorials in MVUC (obits, death notices, section, lot and plot numbers, history from the past town historians as well as from personal family journals.) We can’t control what info they choose to use, or change on their memorials. We have left candles on the memorials in MVUC that have been confirmed with official records. The list from the Chenango County Historian’s Office is not an official list.
Westview Cemetery, German, N.Y. Please visit the Official Facebook page as linked on the main page here on Find A Grave. Thank You.
We had to disable our messages. We don't have our email listed for personal reasons. We can be reached by sending an edit through any one of our memorials. If you send us a message that way we WILL get it. Thanks.
We will only add obituaries that were written before 1923, unless it is our family. F.A.G. states not to leave the names of living relatives in an obituary. Please DO NOT add the complete obituary to any of our memorials via the Flower option. If we see them there we will report them to F.A.G. We will also not add census information to memorials we created. We have had some memorials transferred to us that have census info on them and we will leave those as is. If you'd like an out of guidelines transfer we will be happy to consider it if we are not a closer relation. You shouldn't move a memorial to another cemetery if you find out yours is wrong. It then makes the original look like the duplicate. If this happens F.A.G. will be notified. If you believe we have made a mistake, or mistakenly made a duplicate, please let us know. Everyone makes mistakes. It was not intentional. Please let us know where you found the info so we can document it. Thank You.
We will not link to unknown burials.
