Viola Ferguson passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, January 30, 2007, at Highgate Senior Living in Wenatchee. Viola was born August 22, 1919, in Zion, ND, the daughter of Arthur and Beatrice (Thomas) Ingle. She attended school in Cando, ND and in 1936, moved to Wenatchee with her family where she graduated from Wenatchee High School in 1938. She married Richard "Dick" Jerome Ferguson on September 24, 1938. She was a Past President of the Wenatchee Eagles Auxiliary and had been a member for fifty eight years. She was a longtime supporter of youth Activities, she organized and was involved with the Wenatchee Eagles Drill Team from 1958 until 1967. She loved to crochet and bake cakes for everyone's birthday and special occasions. And the children loved her caramel corn.

Viola was preceded in death by her husband in 1994. She is survived by three sons, Donald (Marie) Ferguson of Gig Harbor, Richard (Carolyn) Ferguson of Wenatchee, Larry (Sandy) Ferguson of Port Angeles; one daughter, Judy (Jack) Field of East Wenatchee; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, David (Rose) Ingle of Maple Valley and Warren (Janice) Ingle of Edgewood; and two sisters, Ellen Gores of Burien and Daisy Morris of Mountlake Terrace.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 8, 2007, at Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
