Funeral services for Mrs. Mittie Elizabeth Harvey, 61, widow of John R. Harvey of Glen St. Mary will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, at the Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church with the Rev. L.A. Davis officiating. Pallbearers will be active, Ray Dinkins, Paul Thrift, R.C. Taylor, William Knabb, Jr., Paul Rhoden, and Guy W. Taylor; honorary, Earl Franklin, Claude Rhoden, Richard J. Davis, Jimmie Burnsed, L.L. Knabb, B.R. Burnsed, John R. Harvey, Philip Taylor, J.M. Hurst, J.E. Elliot, and B.H. Dugger. Mrs. Harvey died in a local nursing home early yesterday, following a short illness. A native of Baker County, she had lived there all her life and was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors are four sons, Joseph L., Lacy L., Samuel E. and John R. Harvey, Sr. all of Jacksonville, three daughters, Miss Algia Johnson Harvey, Glen St. Mary, Mrs. Goldie Mae Elliot, Hahira, GA., Mrs. Pearl E. Dugger, Jacksonville, her mother, Mrs. Jane E. Johns, Glen St. Mary, a brother, Lewis Johns, Plant City, four sisters, Mrs. Nettie Dowling, Raiford, Mrs. Minnie Townsend, Dundee, FL. Mrs. Mattie Miller, Plant City, and Mrs. Minnie Anderson, Starke and 10 grandchildren. Interment will be in the family plot in Taylor Cemetery with Hardage and Sons in charge.
