Johnson L. McEachern, age 78 of Gulf Breeze, passed away Monday, December 24, 2007. He was a 1951 graduate of Troy State University and held a master's degree from Auburn University. He was a public school teacher at Bellview Schools from 1960 until 1994. He was a member of East Brent Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert & Julia McEachern; brothers, Roy, George & James McEachern; sisters, Nan Alford & Edith Morgan; and his former wife, Gladys McEachern.
Survivors include his children, Gladys (Sherry) Shermain & husband Ricky, Roland Sherman Seaman & wife Debbie, and Albert McEachern & wife Carole; six grandchildren, Allen Van Dyk & wife Mary, Lynn Feehan & husband Brian, Tanangela Anderson, Chrisaundra Seaman, Chad McEachern & wife Courtney, Tara Pugh & husband Lee, Meagan Riordan & husband Shane; 12 great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Sarah, Shane, Michael, Tim, Kyle, Madison, Mackenzie, Caleb, Allyson, Alex, and Alara; two sisters, Evelyn Meadows & husband Walter, and Sarah Harrison; brother, Craton McEachern & wife Tallulah.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 28, 2007 at FAITH CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 100 Beverly Pkwy with Dr. Dale Patterson officiating.
Interment will follow in Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Lee Pugh, Chad McEachern, Brian Feehan, Allen Van Dyk, Michael Feehan and Mark Swagart.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday.
