Velva Mae (Scott) King, 93, of Frankfort, IN, died on January 8, 2022 at Wesley Manor. She was born on February 27, 1928 to Ivory and Leona (Johnson) Scott. She was previously married to the late Clement Junior Stockberger and they divorced. She then married Jackie L. "Jack" King and he preceded her in death on March 6, 2018.

Velva was a lifelong Clinton County resident. She worked for Stark & Wetzel, Peter Paul for 23 years, was a custodian for the Community Schools of Frankfort and worked at Federal Mogul. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Velva loved to bowl.

She is survived by four children; four siblings; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and extended family. Velva was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Gary Stockberger; one sister, Barbara Eldridge; and five brothers - Roy Scott, Bill Scott, Harold Scott, Donald Scott and Bob Scott.

Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery.
