Loa worked hard her entire life. She spent her early years working at Moser's Drug Store where she made many pineapple shakes for her then sweetheart, Jack. She also worked at the Royal Center Dime Store. Her later years were spent working at the Community State Bank. She worked as a bookkeeper and over the years worked her way to head teller. She retired from the bank in 1995 to become a full-time grandma. She loved her CSB family and shared many fond memories of her time there. After retirement, Loa enjoyed taking family vacations and spending time with Andrew. Her greatest and most rewarding job in life was being a wife, mother and grandmother. She was the best.
She is survived by two children; three grandchildren; two great-grandsons; and many nieces and nephews.
Loa was also preceded in death by her oldest son, Dr. Dirk Baer; two brothers, Red Thompson and Richard Fry; and two sisters, Ann Kroeger and Renee Smith.
Out of concern for the health of her family and friends, private family services are being held. Loa will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Royal Center Cemetery.
