Roland was a native of Randolph County and member of Deep River Baptist Church. He was a retired truck driver for Brady Lumber Company. He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Homer Brady and mother, Lucy Gatlin Brady Powers, brothers, Vernon Brady, Raeford Brady, and Jesse "Bub" Brady.
